By accessing or using HjemVei (hjemvei.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Beskrivelse av tjenesten / Description of Service

HjemVei is a free Norwegian language learning platform designed for immigrants and anyone interested in learning Norwegian. The platform provides grammar lessons, vocabulary exercises, reading material, cultural guides, spaced-repetition flashcards, games, and interactive challenges covering CEFR levels A1 through C1. The service is provided on an "as is" basis and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. Brukerkontoer / User Accounts

You may use HjemVei without an account. Optionally, you can sign in using Google OAuth to enable cloud sync of your learning progress and appear on leaderboards.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.
• One account per person. Automated or bulk account creation is not permitted.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

4. Brukerinnhold / User Content

Certain features (such as Bli Ekte Norsk) allow you to upload photos and other content. You retain full ownership of any content you upload.

By uploading content, you grant HjemVei a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content within the platform for the purpose of providing the service to you. We will not sell or distribute your content to third parties. You may delete your uploaded content at any time.

5. Akseptabel bruk / Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract content from HjemVei for commercial purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, databases, or other users' data.
• Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit HjemVei's educational content without written permission.
• Abuse, harass, or interfere with other users' experience on the platform.
• Use automated tools to manipulate leaderboards, XP, or achievement systems.

6. Immaterielle rettigheter / Intellectual Property

All content on HjemVei — including but not limited to lessons, exercises, design, illustrations, code, and branding — is the intellectual property of HjemVei unless otherwise stated. You may use the platform for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without prior written consent.

7. Ansvarsfraskrivelse / Disclaimer

HjemVei is an educational tool and is not a certified language school, accredited institution, or replacement for formal language instruction. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the completeness or correctness of our content. Results may vary. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

8. Ansvarsbegrensning / Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HjemVei and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service. Since HjemVei is a free service, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed EUR 100.

9. Avslutning / Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to HjemVei at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to the platform, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, you may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

10. Gjeldende lov / Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.

11. Endringer / Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of HjemVei after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
